SCA Hygiene Matters Report 2011
Women and Personal Hygiene: Interesting figures
 
The attitudinal survey focused on women underlying the 2011 Report was conducted in nine countries: Australia, China, France, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.
 
Below are sone key results:
  • 80% of Chinese respondents spend more time on personal hygiene today than they did 10 years ago;
  • 59% of women consider "wellbeing" the most important dimension of personal hygiene;
  • 77% of women view personal hygiene as the most important part of bringing up their children;
  • 54% of women started to wash their hands more often when they had their first child;
  • 52% of all women have recently refrained from using a public toilet due to their concern of lack of hygiene and cleanliness;
  • 60% of women have used the internet to find specific information about personal hygiene and health for themselves.
